What does it mean to be a member?
Membership in the Beaver Creek Christian Church is the same as it was for churches of the New Testament; those who profess genuine faith in Jesus Christ as Savior as evidenced through repentance, confession, and baptism are considered saved, and therefore a part of Christ's Church (Acts 2:38-47). Leadership is composed of Elders and Deacons who meet the qualifications found in the Bible (I Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:5-9). Worship centers on the mighty acts of God in Christ - His death, burial, resurrection, and second coming, all of which are pictured in the celebration weekly of the Lord's Supper (Acts 20:7 ad I Corinthians 11:23-28). Fellowship exists among believers because of our common bond in Christ and is expressed in worship, giving, common meals, class functions, Bible studies, etc. with the purpose of helping us grow in Christ-likeness (Ephesians 4:11-16; II Timothy 3:14-17).
