31 Ways To Let Your Light Shine!

9. Be Who God Created You To Be - Ephesians 2:1-10

9. Be Who God Created You To Be - Ephesians 2:1-10

Ephesians 2:1-10 - "...He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing." (MSG)

In Bible times you were blessed to work alongside a master craftsman and learn the trade. When you had learned all that you could possibly learn your skills would be put to the test to make something in which the master craftsman could find no flaw. If you were able to past the test your test piece was now called your "masterpiece". This was not hung on the wall or put up for show... it was put to good use. It was created to draw business to the new master craftsman. It was created for a purpose.

In this verse we see that we are created as a masterpiece of God. Although we are flawed and imperfect God takes us and makes us flawless through Jesus Christ. He does this for two reasons: 1. He loves us. 2. Because he has a purpose for us. That purpose was established in the beginning of creation. We were created to be lights or stars that draw others to the Master. We are created to help draw all men to salvation.

When you understand God's grace and your place in his work it will make a difference. You were created with a purpose. You have a function. You are valued and loved. Now shine brightly so that others can find purpose and love in the hands of our Master craftsman.

May God bless you as you discover your purpose in Him. May others see you shining as a proud masterpiece of what our Great God can do.

PRAYER THOUGHT: Dear Lord and Master; Thanks for creating me. Thanks for loving me. You are great and creative. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Help me to be your masterpiece today. Help me to shine the light to others while I am here in this place. Thank you for Jesus in whose name I pray this prayer of gratitude. AMEN!
